A long story short, tecumeh went belly up some years ago and were not very popular in Aus. Victa used a number or their engines on their mowers in the 90's before they were bought by Briggs. The later models, like the one you have were on a few masposrt models for a while there but they too reverted back to Briggs. i'm gussing pricing and availability of parts may have been contributing factors.
