Yes I thought so.....That number is a very early model 4 Special/STD mower engine number...The Industrial/marine apps had very different sequences. Maybee the reason for the green cap and cigar tap and early starter and the more bluish appearance of the paint indicating its quite early...Seemingly it may be The mower to Marine conversion of the time...( wont go into it to much,but basically an engineering co offered a boat/marine conversion so you could just bolt your mower engine to your outboard) BUT the early marine were "Tiger" 125 engines and I think your engine pre dates the conversion..worth doing a little research though
