My ride-on mower, powered by a B&S INTEK 17.5 HP OHV motor [model# 31G777, type 0165E1, code 030227ZE] has had some problems on and off but the final blow came when a horrible noise was followed by massive loss of oil through a triangular hole in the block! The ride-on body and transmission is in excellent condition .
The question is can I get a suitable replacement motor at a reasonable price? It just needs to be 17.5 HP or better and able to be retrofitted to the B&S bolt pattern.
Any suggestions?
... and assuming I find something suitable, anybody need some engine parts for the above B&S?
