just like to add that impulse starters can be rather dangerous i had one that i used regularly wound it up one day to start and the ratchet that stops the spring unwinding failed the full brunt of the spring shattered my thumb. ouch !
nice job mark , although i found that the original full crank with the original twin filter air intake have way more power than the side start ever had.
