First off I did use the search tool, but sisn;t fingd the answer.

I seized the motor on my GF's Victa Vantage (reckon ex hubby didn't put any oil in the petrol)

Anyway the motor freed up after it cooled and I've pulled the exhaust off and the rings seem to be pretty tight in their grooves.

So I pulled the starter and head off and the barrel looks ok'ish.

Next step is to get the piston out to check it and the rings.

I see the special tool to remove the crank pin and also the DIY tool, which I'll make, but the big question is how to stop the crank from turning when I'm trying to get the pin out without buggering something else up.

Any tips would be welcomed.

Cheers
