An electronic magneto can be either a single unit, or a coil and a separate electronic switch. The single unit is more common. If your spark is weak, try checking the gap between the laminated iron core of the module, and the surface of the flywheel - they are normally 0.010-0.012" air gap between. This is fairly critical. Check also that there is not a lot of metal crud stuck to the magnet(s) built into the flywheel. Finally, check that the module is properly earthed to the body of the engine, with no corrosion or rust interfering with the contact. Inspect the kill switch and associated wire from the magneto to the switch, making sure there is no leakage to earth. You might try disconnecting the kill wire at the switch and move the wire that runs back to the magneto so it isn't near anything, then retest the spark intensity.
