Hi Steve, yes mate, I think in the long run it boils down to personal preference and what works best for you...but that is the nature of the beast working with cylinder mowers. They need to be well maintained to do the job that they are designed to do and have a lot more moving parts that the rotary....they are definitely not for the faint-hearted, and do require time and effort to keep them in tip-top condition.
