Hi Grumpy, without a photo it's hard to tell, but I doubt it, as the electric 45's don't have a cutter clutch. The motor is directly connected to a shaft through the chain set-up to the reel....switch on, reel rotates...squeeze the rear roller clutch lever...away you go!
BTW, I do think the RPM of the motor would also be significant to a degree.
