I've tried the valve in position b and c with no joy as yet. The work on the Victa as had to go on the back burner for a while until I can get some time and funds to look at the problem again. There does, however, seem to be sufficent compression when the engine is turned over which I had doubts about before. I haven't got around to changing the diaphram or valve as yet, (it also may require a new starter gear ring or starter unit and the funds are restricted where I work so I have to tread carefully).
