g day, bdearath The front pulley that shares the cutter drive and itermediate gets the most wear. I have in the past discoverd that if the cogs are welded on slightly out im talking 1 to 1 and a halve mm it shortens the life of the chain and pulley. when u adjust the itermediate chain there is a bit of a trick to it because the rear roller chain adjusts as well at the same time, I use a thin length of alluminium and slide it down the inside of the height adjuster knob and push down giving a lever affect its an up and up adjustment not tight some free play is good a give away to a not so true front pulley is the chain gets a bit tight as it goes around this problem can be made worse if the cylinder cutter shaft end is not true hope this helps steve.
