The people who welded the cutter bearing housing volunteered, when I was picking it up, that they could weld new blades in place if necessary. I took this with a grain of salt, but this morning I saw Bruce's post (#18301 of 30/7//10) in which he confirms that these blades can be replaced this way. I am still wondering what a replacement reel for a Scott Bonnar 65 would be likely to cost. What are the pros and cons???
