Hi all i have been given a honda HR194 thats about 15 yrs old to fix.
The thing smokes from the word go so im putting new rings in it for the guy.
I have the rings but taking this boss off to take the crankcase apart is proving to be a royal pain.
The way im trying to get it off is to support the engine about 20mm from the ground by 2 pieces of solid steel under the "boss plate" which the "ninja" blade attaches to.
Using wd40 didnt work. I have 2 sources of heat (air-propane which all of you probable had and oxy-acetlylene which some of you might not)
I have tried a little heat but i am afraid that the bearing seal might melt been so close.
I would really love some clues as to getting this off as i have had it for a week and dont want to see it anymore (I went to the snow)
thanks so much!
