My father originally picked it up in a 2nd hand store for about $180 a few years back and we both chipped in to give it as a gift to my brother who had a cooch lawn. However during this time it did not get much use and is pretty carboned up and there was a lot of wax in the tank. How it came back to me was that after my brothers marrage split up, my brother gave the unit to me. Yeah I would like to fully restore the unit I was wondering how easy is it to get original decals and get an exact match for the hammer tone

I think the valve clearances might need adjustment as when warm it won't start first pull but that might be caused by the air filter being on its last legs. Motor wise I intend to get a new gasket set for the carbie and reset the valve clearances if needed. She already has clean oil so it is just a matter of getting the head de-coked. BTW Deejay was it common for a 45 to be fitted with the Kawasaki instead of the normal B&S or was this an after market swap over.

One of the ideas I am toying with if I get made redundant at work and it pays the mortgage was to set up a lawn mowing business but I don't think the money would be in it as it is a rather cut throat business. But it was always something I wanted to do since I was a teenager. I was thinking two of these and two Honda's and a utility would be a very nice set up to start mowing with.
