PART TWO – Lawn Scout Features
The Lawn Scout was a sophisticated mower with some unique features,
the most noticeable being the new Boundy engine – the ‘Gold Cheetah’
[see Related Reading].

In this 1957 newsprint advertisement (supplied by member Dodegy)
we see a nice summary of what Boundy considered the Top 8 features.

Note that the engine is represented as being an export success.
Note the exhaust port could be ‘de-coked’ in 60 seconds!

Another noteworthy feature was the handle rope guide that
converted a horizontal lanyard cord start into one with a vertical pull action.
