I would like to say something about the term 'light weight'.

It appears to me that the term designated the weight advantage held
over the earlier lawnmowers - typically behemoth machines made of cast iron.

For me, Atco pioneered the lightweight lawnmower. They used lighter cast
designs and then thinner plate steel to make mowers.

Typically, the term was used for domestic reel mowers.
