Johnny boy will quickly become Johnny no fingers with that around these days.
I'm even surprised they allowed the exposed rotating vent on the B&S motors up until the end of the 1980s.
I love that about them but I always found it odd they were made that way.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
