Thanks for those reel crazy patents, I've seen few other crazy reel patents.
The Goodall early blades looked like they were swing back blades when I first saw them because of the bolts that held them in place but they look like the outer edges of the blades are pined,meaning the bolts are just for ease of blade replacement.
The 1945 Yazoo patent shows swing back blades ,also I heard a rumour that the Yazoo would not pass USA safety standards (no longer made in the US) so of course it is now sold in Australia under the name Red Roo.
