That machine has undergone a mod or two, not surprisingly for a workhorse mower. You've noticed the exhaust extension pipe - the muffler appears original.

Also, the blade disc has been changed, probably when the OEM type blades went NLA. The original setup had a disc with slots in it, to enhance the 'fan action', and three thick, reversible blades.
