slight diversion. This has been nagging me for years. Is Kirby linked in any way to the former Nock & Kirby hardware chain that ceased in 1983 and became BBC Hardware? Is it the same Kirby who made door to door vacuum cleaners?

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
