Bruce, I have found out what my problem is on links to my Google files. You said I need to use both HTML and UBBCode. Well the problem in the manuals forum the Full Editor will only allow me to select HTML and here in this post it is only allowing UBBCode post options. It will not allow me to change the post options. Doesn't understand why it is doing this to me as it should allow me to change to post options. But is what is causing the problem it would not allow to post an image file of the file names and sizes.

So I have to avoid attempting to post links to any of the manuals I have acquired as this is only causing problems when the full editor is disallowing the UBBCode option.

One of the file is way too big to attach over 18 megs so I must be able to link to the Google or One Drives.

We have had to stop people from posting using HTML Code (Security Issue) that is why you are unable to use it.

The UBB Code should work the same. Have sent you a PM so I can test your link that you are trying to post. We do not really want external links posted on the site because if you close down the link it disappears and people lose the information.

Well the links are the same ones I like I post on PPETEN website that I manage here in the US. They are not going anywhere unless Google removes my account after I die. Over on PPETEN I posted links to whole directories of manuals for members that earn access the download section (which 5 posts just they are not spammers). I also post sites links to files that on OEM websites. In this case the files available both on the OEM website (but hard to find) and on either my Google Drive or the Microsoft One Drive. I actually now got two Google drives as I have over 15 gigs stored not counting what is on the One Drive. About half of what is store is allowed access by others with the links. Now about a year Google changed their security so I had to rework some my links on sites that I regularly visit but that was beyond my control.

But if you don't want the posting external links that is fine as it is your option on how you operate your site and I have no problems with it. It like the site I manage where if you post Spam you are kick off permanently. That is how bad I hate Spammers. I always try to work within the given site rules so I just won't post anymore external links. Just wish the rules same applied to all threads not just flip flopping around; otherwords, if you are disallowing HTML it should be same across all of the forum sections. So if you wish you can down the files I posted links to in the PM to a site you use to store them and post your own links. as one file is way too big to attach (18.6 megs). I will not try to post anymore external links from now on even though I can get around the problem by just posting the link as a cut and paste version but they just look weird.

I replied to your PM which allowed me to post it correctly, I could have even deleted it, but editing was only done to verify it wasn't locked out like it was in the Loncin Manual thread
