Hi Steve_2012,

I suggest that you have a close look at the drawings for the model. That pulley appears to be some sort of addon because it is not shown in the drawings for the complete ride on and the deck parts list.

Good luck with trying to work it out but I myself would be looking at going back to the orignal setup and you should then get it working as it should.

Another option I have thought about is encasing the tank in fiberglass, maybe 3 layers of matting. Probably cost $100 for the materials but getting another tank if he could find one is a road to nowhere because they will all be fragile with age. Just another thought if somebody here has a similar problem

Any of us that around animals be it livestock, pets, or wild can a test to the fact any has their own personality. Some can be a gentle as can be and other just mean as they can be. I have over chickens which does include one silky. He even made the biggest rooster or he thinks did mind him like the rest. That rooster if he was so minded could have put a stop to it with just one foot holding the silky down. They were raise together the old big rooster considered just a pain of a family member.

Now my boss is the American Robin that I rescued six years ago. She think she got eat some of whatever I am eating. She nearly drives me nuts if I open a potato chip bag and don't give first choice.
Hey fellas.

The other night I picked up this beasty. She's a runner but the deck is badly rusted out.

I'm wanting to know more about the pro series. Who made them? When were they made? Did Victa itself ever actually manufacture ride on mowers or just rebadge them?

It seems like a pretty good bit of kit. It has a much thicker and larger section chassis than other ride ons I've seen, V twin power, hydrostatic drive, all steel construction. I've downloaded the owners manual from here but it seems there is very little other info out there on these.

From my research on here the gearbox is a Hydrogear BDU10s-114. The manual can be downloaded here.
http://www.hydro-gear.com/ac8be05589_sites/hydro-gear.com/files/bdu.pdf
And here.
http://www.mymowerparts.com/pdf/Hyd...Hydro-Gear-Service-and-Repair-Manual.pdf

The model-type-code on the briggs puts it as a 1989. The "Machine number" under the seat is TC 47 1637. I don't know if that means anything to anyone?

I plan to fix it up and get some lawn mowed. I've always dreamed of having a garden tractor with a front end loader so you never know, that might happen one day.
