after a period of non use the blade would not spin although the motor was humming away, I turned it off quickly. My question, is it feasible that plant sap has "gummed up the works" so to speak by solidifying on the drive shaft of motor during period of non use or would it more likely be the brushes ? Cheers.

xioz,

In order to get access to the parts list and manuals area of the forum you need to subscribe to that area.

From memory the blades are reversible and all you need to do is remove the roll pin and undo the nut and then flip the blades over.

All you need is a roll punch tool, Hammer, Socket and socket wrench. Once you remove the roll pin place the socket on the nut and the socket wrench on the socket and give it a hit with the hammer to loosen the nut.
