Hello ODK History Lovers
This is an incomplete record for the Scott Bonnar Model 46 Scarifier / Groover.
This machine has not been well documented primarily because it was part
of the professional range of Scott Bonnar products.

It had a long production run, suggesting it was a successful product.
It was certainly of a sound design. At about a 19" cutting width, with
cutters enclosed within a cast aluminium body. Initially powered by a
Kirby 4-stroke, it would later be powered by Briggs & Stratton engines.

This machine was introduced in the early 1960s when SB were
expanding their professional range. I cannot rule out, however, that
the design dates from the late 1950s. The Model 46 certainly appears
in the 1963 catalogue and 1964 price list I have written about

PART TWO - Brochure - C1971
The best information I have comes from a c1971 brochure that
would have been part of a SB professional catalogue. Note the
clear distinction between scarifying and grooving (slicing) and the
4-point height adjusters (on each corner).
