blades and wires ? mine has a bar with wire/cable in U shape attached to the ends of the bar is that what you meant ?
you show us yours and i'll show you mine , dark out now so it will be tomorrow . what do you have on it now ?
oh yes , mine actually has blades instead of the cable , when it was used seemed to work well and lasted longer too . '

Right thanks for the replies ,my edger just has the rotor blades ( no 67 ) thanks cyber jack for the pic , I just bought some wires from outdoor king and im wondering where they attach to ?

hi gavin351 , 67 is the blades ...... 66 is the plate that they bolt onto you will need the bolt set for either blades or the wires .
see how you go with wire ones as i found they wore too fast , blades did the job faster and with a thinner cut but i dont have a lot of sharp curves (on my grass)

Are I see you either have the rotor blades OR wires . Ill try both set ups and see which works the best as I have just bought the blades and the wires . Thanks for your help vccomm and cyberjack.

I think I am right in saying that, prior to line trimmers, the wire blades were a
'work around' (pun intended); in that they would not damage concrete pathing on
radius bends. Blades, of course, will give a superior finish on straight lines.

The line trimmers were really a revolution (pun intended) in that they offered
the best of both worlds (clean cuts, no damage to pathing, acceptable finish).

Today, blade edgers still have a purpose - for quality finishes to straight edges,
contiguous with pathing. Everything else: the line trimmer is the solution.

All very edgy.

Unbalanced is just me though , and I think we are all here to help other members , new guys and anyone who asks or needs help.
so many different ways of doing the same things sometimes it's just a matter of what suits the individual.

Hi all. For the life of me i cant work out what the trigger handle on my model 38 edger does. It may need ajustment but it activates the spring somehow relating to the blade depth adjustment..my blade depth does slowly come up during use...

The earlier version of the Model 38 had a handle-mounted lever.
The feature was dropped in the late 1970s (best guess).
