I have what appears to be a Mark Two? Series 70 two stroke. Have lost a screw and the machine is now hard to start, cuts out very quickly and won't restart.
Showed the machine to a car/truck mechanic who suggested that the missing screw would probably be some sort of screw/needle shaped idle adjuster.
So far so good .. problem arises when I try to find the part - the lawnmower mechanic contacted (20 odd years Victa experience) can't recollect any Victa 2 stroke with any sort of idle adjuster other than the "accelerator."
The missing screw was located behind the metal carby. (If this info is unclear I can email a photo.)
Hoping someone may be able to offer some advice/share some knowledge that helps resolve my problem.
