Free to good home for somebody in Melb early Masport with metal catcher. Catcher has a few rust holes but can be fixed. Existing motor is a Tecumesh, had a bit of a look at it but couldn't get a peep from it with starter fluid down the plug hole so I just pushed it away, not wasting time on it.
I know you didn't have enough time to look at this Masport , ended up not much wrong with it , cleaned the air filter , tightened blade plate crank bolt ( had a loose blade plate) , removed carby bowl drain plug, looked like someone had tipped the mower on it's side as the carby was full of oil ,put plug back in, a little starter fluid and it fired up straight away , it smoked for a while then cleared had some oil in the muffler . Just needs a top up with some oil now.
Excellent Max, as you know I am on a mission to get rid of at least 52 mowers by Christmas and anything that doesn't fire up easily I have to move on or it is off to the tip.
