Hi Bruce,

I wanted to remove the flywheel on a pioneer 3270, I just assumed the
thread would be right hand, put the rattle gun on then stripped the thread in the nut banghead .
Are pioneer the only ones to use left hand thread on the flywheel side?,
Bruce would you have a left hand thread nut to suit this, the thread is 9.4mm in diameter.
I also want the set the timing but there's no timing marks on the flywheel.
Could I get TDC then set the correct points gap?

Hi Wayne, from what I can see in the pic, the thread on the shaft doesn't look too brilliant either mate....does it need dressing? A engineering workshop may have a die with a left-hand thread which run up and down a couple of times may do the trick...a new nut can sometimes do the same, but it all depends on the metal hardness of the nut....if the nut is softer than the shaft, the shaft thread distortion will ruin the new nut. wink
