The one you have given the link to on ebay seems fine Widget
I have been handed a few GA Spares Speedfeed heads to install - they seem to go well as well. You just wind them up to install the line, not take apart.
The only problem I have had is installing one on a mcculloch (carbon copy of your featherlite). The speedfeeds don't work with trimmers with no clutch.
The thing will run you around $55, for a straight shaft trimmer you need the BRN6923 from memory
Good thing is the replacement end caps (where you bump) only cost around $12 each, and the rest of the body is pretty indestructible

Thanks Tyler, Ill look into it :), though at $55, feels a bit steep. The trimmer is only for home use, small-ish property, for just hitting the fence-line.
hi Widget,
Have you priced the Stihl part?
speedy
Had a quick look, from what I could find, seem to be similar price as to the Speedfeed head Tyler mentioned. Might be better quality than the cheaper ebay one I linked, but as I would use it once in a while whenever the grass grew, didn't want to spend a whole lot.
Anyone have suggestions about those heads that you clip in a piece of string, rather than winding it around the cup ? Can't remember the name... seem like an easier option, assuming there's one available for this model ?
Thanks
